Upgrade for Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh
SAUDI Arabia’s Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre aims to maintain
its leading edge in the city’s hospitality landscape following a major
refurbishment. The 12-month renovation project, executed by British
architectural and interiors firm GA Design, incorporates new design schemes
in all rooms and suites as well as structural and aesthetic changes in
public areas such as the entrance, reception, lobby lounge, corridors and
floor lobbies in addition to a brand new restaurant Elements which will
replace Seasons. The renowned California-based restaurant design firm EDG
Design has worked on the concept and design of all-day-dining Elements which
will offer global cuisine presented with an Arabesque and Asian twist
Singapore welcomed 30 per cent more visitors from the Middle East
Middle East visitors flocked to Singapore this summer with the Garden City
reporting a 30 per cent rise in regional travellers who came to experience
two stunning new multi-billion dollar Integrated Resorts and a raft of
world-class events, such as the exhilarating F1 race and unique Ramadan
celebrations. Latest figures from Singapore Tourism Board (STB) show that
46,559 people travelled from countries in the region to Singapore between
July and September this year, up from 35,786 in the third quarter of 2009.
Overall, almost 113,000 people travelled from the region between January and
September with most arriving from the UAE, as it accounted for 42,549 of
Middle East visitors during the first nine months of 2010.

destination

Abu Dhabi targets 1.9m hotel guests in 2011
Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) hopes to draw 1.9 million visitors to
around 22,000 hotel rooms in the UAE capital next year. Tourism is expected
to contribute 11.1 per cent to the emirate’s overall non-oil GDP, according
to ADTA’s tourism agenda. The targets will mean a 15 per cent rise on the
2010 hotel guest target, an increase of over 5,000 hotel rooms and a 0.4 per
cent increase in overall non-oil GDP contribution. |
