Movenpick claims Dubai's first all-inclusive hotel
Movenpick Hotels & Resorts has unveiled what it claims is a first for Dubai
– a pre-paid all-inclusive offering at one of its forthcoming properties on
The Palm Jumeirah.
The group’s
top-end 293-room Royal Amwaj property, which will also be the first hotel in
Dubai to boast over-water villas, will debut this all-inclusive concept,
“All F&B and dining is covered - it’s going to be a market first,” boasted
the hotel chain’s new business development director, Guy Epsom. Epsom
revealed that the concept would be referred to as ‘Club Amwaj’ involving a
three-tier package that would not only give guests staying at Royal Amwaj
free food and drinks at all six outlets on site, but also at the 30-plus
outlets across Movenpick’s Dubai portfolio – the firm is opening four new
properties in the emirate next year.
12th Ramada hotel to open in Saudi Arabia
Ramada Worldwide continues its expansion in Saudi Arabia, with the signing
of an agreement for the five-star, 700-room Ramada Plaza Makkah hotel. The
hotel, scheduled to open in early 2011, will be the third Ramada hotel in
the Holy City and the 12th Ramada property within the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia.
Marriott’s Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok opens in Thailand
The 300-unit Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok – Marriott Executive Apartment property
has opened its doors in Thailand in a bid to increase luxury and comfort for
short and long-term guests. The property consists of studio rooms,
one-bedroom suites and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments offering
Internet access, work areas, a fully-equipped business centre, as well as a
kitchen, and an upgraded bathroom. It also features a variety of on-property
public areas including a pool, a fitness centre, a resident lounge,
entertainment corners, a golf practice range and tennis, squash and
badminton courts, as well as a number of food and beverage options.
Address Dubai Marina introduces five dining experiences
The Address Dubai Marina is adding five new dining experiences in the marina
in a bid to position it as the newest social and dining hotspot in the area.
The hotel now offers three restaurants and two lounges. It is hoped that
these latest venues will become preferred hubs for social gatherings in the
Dubai Marina and surrounding area. Guests can experience countless
opportunities for dining and entertainment at our outlets which offer a
variety of features including al fresco seating, contemporary ambiance and à
la carte menus. Our pool-side lounge offers stunning views of Dubai Marina
Aloft debuts in Middle East with Abu Dhabi opening
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and its new destination brand, AloftSM
Hotels, have opened Aloft Abu Dhabi, marking the first Aloft to open in the
Middle East and second to open outside of North America. Featuring 408
loft-like rooms, a bar scene in the open lobby, an urban-inspired
grab-and-go café, and industrial design elements throughout, Aloft aims to
deliver an urban-influenced, modern, and vibrant design, and a guest
experience at an affordable price point. The debut of Aloft Abu Dhabi
highlights the strategic international expansion of the Aloft brand. Aloft
Abu Dhabi is also the first of two Aloft hotels coming to the Middle East in
the next two years, with the Aloft Riyadh scheduled for a 2011 opening.
