Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya opens in Saudi Arabia
Hilton Hotels Corporation has opened its first Hilton Garden Inn property in
the Middle East and Africa, with the launch of Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh
Olaya in Saudi Arabia. Located in the heart of Riyadh's business district,
Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya features 180 guest rooms and suites equipped
with a range of unique lifestyle amenities including self-adjusting,
pressure-relieving bed, complimentary Internet access, secure printing to
the business centre and work space with an oversized desk and ergonomic
chair.
IHG
launches InterContinental Residence Suites
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is set to enrich its service and product
offering within the UAE with the scheduled opening of the InterContinental
Residence Suites this July at Dubai Festival City. Specially designed to
cater to the needs of extended stay guests, the InterContinental Residence
Suites Dubai Festival City offers 212 apartments encompassing studios. It
further offers one-, two- and three- bedroom suites, and a Royal Suite
penthouse with panoramic creek views and its own spa treatment room.
Germany's
Hyatts geared up to attract Arabs.
The four Hyatt properties in Germany - located in Berlin, Hamburg, Mainz and
Cologne - are looking to tap into the lucrative Arab market by offering
services customised for visitors from the Middle East.
These
services include Arabic-speaking staff, traditional culinary offerings and
even prayer mats. "As part of Hyatt's authentic hospitality, we seek to
provide our guests with the comfort of being in a home away from home,"
explained VP sales & marketing South West Asia Thierry Bertin. "Because the
Middle East is an important market for us, we have tailored a wide range of
services to attract business and leisure travelers visiting Germany from the
region."
Singapore
attracting healthy interest from ME
SINGAPORE attracted 30,000 visitors from the Middle East in the first
quarter of 2009. This represents a five per cent increase over 2008, with
its key markets, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, witnessing stellar growth of 23
per cent and 10 per cent respectively. Known as a family friendly and
cosmopolitan destination, Singapore has further enhanced its tourism
offerings with the launch of the 2009 Reasons to Enjoy Singapore campaign,
which positions Singapore as a vibrant, value for money destination.
Building
work completed on Fairmont Residences
IFA Hotels & Resorts (IFA HR) recently completed all the main building work
on its Fairmont Residences, Palm Jumeirah project in Dubai, located on the
beach on the western portion of the island's trunk. All residences will be
managed by the Fairmont Palm Jumeirah hotel which is scheduled to open 2010
and is positioned between the two residential buildings. The development
consists of two residential buildings with 562 units comprising of one-,
two- and three-bedroom apartments, townhouses and penthouses, with
landscaping, swimming pools and waterfalls.
Rezidor in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia
The
Rezidor Hotel Group recently announced the Al Muna Karim Radisson Blu Hotel
in Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The 322 room property is scheduled to open in
time to welcome its first guests during Ramadan. The group is also
developing the Al Madinah Paradise Radisson Blu Resort, due to welcome its
first guests in Q4 2010. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel will
feature 322 guest rooms, an all day dining restaurant, a meeting room and a
shopping arcade. Due to its prime location and high standards, it is
expected to attract many religious tourists who visit Madinah annually,
particularly during the Hajj and Umrah period.
