Swiss-Belhotel Medan, is
scheduled to open in March 2008.
Swiss-Belhotel International announced recently that
it has signed an agreement with PT. Global Medan Town Square for the
operation and management of the latter’s new 5-Star, 245-guestroom hotel,
now under construction in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. The agreement
was signed earlier this year by Ir. Charles Sutantio, President Director of
PT. Global Medan Town Square and Emmanuel Guillard, Vice President of Swiss-Belhotel
International – Indonesia.
The
24-story mixed-use edifice will comprise of 11,000 square meters of
entertainment and retail space and a modern, de-luxe, international luxury
hotel in the Central Business District on Jalan Letnan Jenderal S. Parnam in
Medan. The hotel, named Swiss-Belhotel Medan, is scheduled to open in
March 2008.

Beijing to accommodate Middle East travelers

Starwood signs new W Hotel in Amman
Starwood
Hotels & Resorts has signed an agreement with Saraya, a real estate
development and asset management company, to develop the first W hotel in
Amman as part of Saraya's new headquarters. When it opens, in 2011, the
280-room W Amman also plans to service additional luxury residences in the
modern New Abdali Downtown.
Bahrain tourism hits record high
Bahrain’s tourism sector hit a new high generating $17.3 million
revenue this year so far, up by 15 per cent from the corresponding income
last year. It also attracted significant investment inflows, along with
record tourist arrivals, to the tune of $5.6 billion into tourism project
development shaping the sunrise tourism sector of the Kingdom. This excludes
infrastructure costs such as transport networks and power plants.
