Unique Choice for inbound requirements
Almazaya
Tourism has signed a deal with Unique Choice for all their inbound
requirements. Unique Choice will conduct half day as well as full day and
overnight desert safaris. The camp includes a traditional well-equipped
Bedouin carpeted tent with Arabic style seating. A unique feature is the
concept of a mini supermarket and clean water for the shower and bath rooms.
As part of the excitement, the camp site also offers camel rides and a
jetty. The experience is enjoyed most during the high tide when one can
enjoy the flow of water under the seating arrangements.

Renovation at Genting Hotel, Resort Hotel &
Theme Park Hotel
Genting Hotel, Resort Hotel and Theme Park Hotel will be undergoing major
room renovations with completion scheduled by year end. The Genting Hotel
will subsequently be renamed as “Maxims Genting” with all suite rooms type.
The Resort and Theme Park Hotel upon completion will have a new and modern
3-4 stars room types accommodation to offer. The room inventories will be
substantially reduced for both renovation and to buffer off the noise level.

Millennium going grand
Millennium & Copthorne Group has introduced a luxury variant of the
established Millennium branded properties, the Grand Millennium brand, in
Malaysia this month.
In addition the company has announced
that on May 1 this year, Millennium Towers Hotel Dubai will complete its
re-branding, and will be as of then Grand Millennium Dubai, thus
making it the first Grand Millennium in the Middle East.
IHG signs
with Chelsea Group
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the signing of an
agreement with The Chelsea Group, part of Crimson Hotels, to develop a third
Crowne Plaza hotel in Dubai. Crowne Plaza Dubai
Business Bay, scheduled to open in 2010, will be located at the heart of
Business Bay, which is set to be the city’s new central business district.
Located next to Sheikh Zayed Road and Dubai International Financial Centre,
the property will be strategically situated to capitalise on the thriving
corporate travel market in the city
Singapore to double cruise ship capacity by 2010
The new
International Cruise Terminal at Marina South in Singapore, expected to be
operational in 2010, is estimated to double Singapore’s international cruise
infrastructure in capacity. The two new berths will accommodate the largest
ships currently in service, as well as those on order including the new
5,400 capacity Genesis-class ships.
Swiss-Belhotel signs in Oman
Al Batinah
Hotels Company, Oman and Swiss-Belhotel International Middle East have
sealed the deal on Sohar Beach by Swiss-Belhotel at a signing ceremony in
Oman. The hotel, which commenced operations under the Swiss-Belhotel
International brand in January, is currently undergoing extensions, with
